We did the crash course with Asiya a few days before our wedding and it was so worth it!! She transformed us from awkward side swaying to a couple moves that made us so much more confident in our first dance in front of a crowd. Jon and I got the best response at our wedding and so many compliments! Because of COVID, we practiced to our song of choice outdoors and it was a wonderful time spent. We messaged Valeo a whole week ?! before our wedding to ask if they could help us with a few dance moves ahead of our big day. Aisya was so quick to respond to say they could definitely help us in time. We took a single crash course and went from awkwardly swaying off beat to a confident delivery to our chosen first dance song. I mean, we’re no ballroom dancers now, but we were able to enjoy ourselves and really take in the moment not worrying about looking silly or stepping on each others feet :) couldn’t recommend this more. My fiance and I took the First Dance Wedding Crash Course. We have zero experience with dancing and wanted to do more than the Prom-style dance. Asiya was the perfect teacher! She made us feel comfortable and confident in no time. If we had more time before our wedding, we would have taken more classes. I would 1000% recommend Asiya for wedding dance classes!

My husband and I as well as my dad and I took lessons for the first dance and the father-daughter dance, respectively. My dad was especially nervous about the dance because he says he has "two left feet" and by the end of two lessons, he looked like a pro! Most importantly, we had a blast doing it!

I cannot recommend Asiya enough!! Seriously, my fiancé and I had horrible anxiety about our first dance and she helped us to feel confident and excited! We took four personalized lessons and went from looking like we had never met to dancing with ease and excitement! I also took a lesson with my dad and he had so much fun! So much so that I’m thinking of getting my parents lessons as a Christmas gift. Asiya was seriously amazing and I recommend everyone go to take lessons with her!

Asiya is an amazing dance instructor and such a joy to work with! My fiance and I started out with no dance experience whatsoever and Asiya walked us through the basics to get us comfortable moving and dancing together and eventually built us up to a beautifully choreographed first dance. She also helped my dad and I with our father daughter dance too! Could not recommend her more!!

Asiya is a wonder woman! I was so nervous about our dance because I am not comfortable in front of crowds and she made my fiance and I so at ease and worked with us until we felt so confident! We had 0 dance experience before the class and now we know twirls, spins and lifts that we can use for the rest of our lives beyond our first dance! Where do I even begin? Asiya was a fantastic choreographer and teacher. We had a special requirement of two small dance routines for our wedding afterparty - a waltz and a 90s Bollywood number. In spite of not knowing the Bollywood song in advance, Asiya came up with an energetic sequence. My partner and I are not trained dancers. Even then. she was able to create an interesting and unique routine. Asiya was prompt to reply and was receptive to our ideas. She was cognizant of cultural nuances and respectful at all times. We were struggling to find a choreographer who would be able to incorporate both songs into our first dance. We made the right choice by selecting Valeo Dance Studio. Our guests were completely floored. So much so that they expect us to dance at every future function from now on. :) A relative of mine was so impressed with our dance that he said he wants to get married again just to be able to learn and perform a similar routine with his wife!

I am so happy my husband and I took first dance lessons at Valeo. Asiya, the owner and instructor, is incredibly talented and fun to be around. We have no prior dance experience and at times, for my husband, it was incredibly frustrating. She was so patient with both of us. From the moment we walked in, she listened to exactly what we wanted. Within moments, we were practicing. She wastes no time- every minute you pay for, you are learning or practicing. We had the choice of a full choreographed dance or learning dance skills (box step, spins, twirls, dips, and basic lifts) with a semi-choreographed, more natural-looking routine. We chose the latter, so that we could utilize what she taught us for a lifetime. On wedding day, our family and friends were so excited and shocked to see us out there, dipping and spinning. It was, overall, an excellent experience. Would recommend Valeo (and Asiya) without hestitation.

My husband and I had such a great time learning steps to our first dance for our wedding that were perfectly elegant and not too choreographed thanks to Asiya’s professional assistance!!! Asiya at Valeo Dance Studio was amazing. Neither my fiance or I are gifted dancers so we were super nervous for eyes to be on us during our first dance. She lifted all of our anxieties so we won't look like fools in front of our grandparents. In a short session, we learned so much and had a blast. I cannot begin to explain how amazing Asiya is. We were debating if we should do dance lessons prior to our wedding for our first dance. My fiancee thought- we don't need dance lessons! I purchased the package of 4 dance lessons with Asiya after reading her incredible reviews on the knot. This money was well spent! Asiya was amazing and so helpful with our first dance!!! I didn’t want us to look like two middle schoolers at a dance and thanks to Asiya, we didn’t!!! I never felt intimidated because we didn’t have any kind of training and the way she explains things made everything that much easier!!! She also was accommodating to my husbands bad knees and my shoulder issues from a car accident. I am getting my parents a gift card as a thank you gift for our wedding. My husband and I had 2 private dance lessons with Asiya to prepare for our daughter's wedding. Asiya was so patient with the two of us who have never had dance instruction . She was great at teaching us all of the techniques to make us comfortable on the dance floor. We now look forward to dancing at our daughter's March wedding. Asiya was fantastic. We signed up for the six private lesson pkg. and could not have been for pleased. This was for a Father/Daughter wedding dance. We started out slow and then did a medley of very fast moving songs. The wedding crowd loved all of our moves (i.e - actually went crazy) and it went so smooth all due to the practice sessions, and confidence, Asiya instilled upon on us. If you want to have a flawless Father/Daughter dance then Asiya is the best!!!

Asiya was an amazing instructor! My husband and I had no clue what to do for our first dance. We picked “Can’t My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli which is not a song that you can just sway along to. After meeting with Asiya for the first time I could tell she was going to make this dance amazing. Taking dance classes became my favorite part of wedding planning. It was fun, stress-free and gave us something to practice between sessions. Our dance was a huge success. Everyone was so impressed and I could not be happier with the outcome!!!! We cannot say enough great things about Asiya! She taught us a great intro and ending to our selected song and then several basic dance steps to use throughout the middle part of the song. We used the basic dance steps later that night at our wedding on the dance floor and again on our honeymoon when we danced at a bar one night. Best of all, our lessons were fun! We looked forward to the break from the last minute planning details and the chance to connect with each other. We found Asiya through The Knot recommendations and now we highly recommend her to others.

Asiya's instruction is not just for coaching brides and grooms for their first dance: My husband and I, married 49 years (without ever dancing,) were able to show off our dancing skills at our daughter's wedding. Thanks to Asiya's excellent teaching, we were able to catch the rhythm in almost every song and carry on as if we knew what we were doing! My husband's dance with our daughter was lovely as he deftly twirled her out and back in to much applause. We then promenaded and dipped and foxtrotted most of the night away. It was glorious, and all thanks to Asiya's encouraging help. We appreciated her kindness and patience with us as we so s-l-o-w-l-y caught on to the simplest of steps. My wife and I walked into our first class with zero dance experience, and after our classes with Asiya, ended up with a wedding first dance that was perfect, magical, and impressive to everyone. I really wish we had a "before" video to show how much we progressed, because we were really that bad. I am amazed that after only 4 lessons we not only improved exponentially, but have enough comfort and confidence that we know our first dance is going to be great. Asiya is so much fun! My fiancé and I bought 4 one-hour lessons, and Asiya helped us go from very little proficiency to having a toolkit of moves and partially choreographed but natural first dance for our wedding. She is incredibly nice and has a great personality, and made the process really fun for us. She knows her stuff well and was able to teach us fundamentals as well as sprinkle in more technical / nuanced instruction. The online booking system makes scheduling or rescheduling appointments easy, and the studio (which is very nice) is conveniently located right near the center of Buckhead. We would definitely recommend Asiya for any couple considering taking dance lessons for their first dance at their wedding

Asiya is an amazing teacher! We did a four class private dance lesson package with her to prepare for our wedding. She quickly assessed my minimal level of dance competence (and my wife-to-be's far greater talents) and developed a routine for us based on a very specific song that was fun, easy to learn, and looked great. She's supportive, open to input and extremely enthusiastic. She made taking the classes extremely fun to! I couldn't recommend her any higher if you're looking to do your own wedding dance lessons and need someone to give you something that will look great in person and on camera. In fact, my wife loved the classes so much that she's now planning to take additional dance classes to up her hip hop dancing skills.

Asiya was an amazing dance instructor for me and my wife! We went from 0-10 in just a few months! Asiya is the best! I found her here on the Knot and from the very first meeting she made us feel so comfortable. She asked us what we were looking for and worked with us with what we wanted to do! If we were up for a full choreographed dance she was ready to go if we wanted more relaxed that was ok too! She adjusts to what the couple wants. We chose a more relaxed dance, we wanted to get the beautiful picture moments of the dip and twirls and we did! We just got our pictures and video back and the first dance made all the difference in our pictures and video looking flawless. I can’t recommend her more - beyond worth it!!!! Can I give her 10 stars?! Asiya is the sweetest, most patient and talented dance instructor there is. My husband and I decided 3 weeks before our wedding that we wanted to do a surprise first dance (slow dance, then jump into a hip hop dance). I emailed Asiya immediately to see if we could accomplish so much in so little time. She was quick to respond and super excited to get to work. In just 4 lessons, she completely transformed us. She helped me out of my comfort zone. The dance went off without a hitch and it was everyone's favorite part of the night.

We could not have been more pleased with our experience at Valeo and with Asiya! We did the 4 lesson package for our first dance at our wedding. I could not be happier that we booked Asiya for our father-daughter wedding dance lessons. Both my dad and I are not natural dancers and we feel very self conscience when dancing. Asiya was very patient and understanding with us and actually made dancing fun! She adapted our dance multiple times after my dad hurt his back/hip (unrelated to dancing). I was amazed at how many new routines she could come up with with no notice from us. We ended up with a dance that was fun and visually interesting. (I got married in Las Vegas, so I did not want to do a rigid, boring dance). When our father-daughter dance actually happened, I felt confident and happy, all thanks to Asiya. Judging by the comments of our family, we pulled it off. Aside from being an excellent choreographer and instructor, Asiya is also a friendly, nice person. Her energy and personality are infectious. She made me excited to work with her, even when I was frustrated by my own lack of dance skills. I was actually sad when our lessons came to an end because I enjoyed seeing Asiya. I think my dad felt the same way. In summary, Asiya is awesome and I highly recommend her to anyone.
